How does plant-based wax compare to petroleum wax?
In blind testing, skiers couldn't tell the difference in glide performance. VegEdge™ matches traditional petroleum waxes in speed while being safer for you and the environment. The main difference? Your garage won't smell like chemicals.
Can I use VegEdge™ in really cold conditions?
VegEdge™ works well down to 15°F (-10°C). For extreme cold below 15°F or racing on ice, we recommend our ObsidianX™ graphene wax, which is optimized for cold/icy conditions.
Do I need a waxing iron?
No! Our Dad's Way™ method works great with just rub-on application and buffing. An iron helps the wax penetrate deeper for longer durability, but it's optional. Most families get excellent results with rub-on only.
How often should I reapply?
Reapply every 2-3 ski days for optimal performance. If you notice reduced glide or your bases look dry, it's time for another coat. With 10-12 applications per bar, one VegEdge™ bar lasts most families an entire season.
Is VegEdge™ really biodegradable?
